Outside in the sun. Variations in color that the camera picks up is not as noticeable to the eye.

Looks good to me !

They are very easy to strip for cleaning, took me a minute or two to get it apart the first time, now that I know how it comes apart it will be much faster next time. Putting it together was a breeze. Mine ate 20 rounds of corrosive and I cleaned it right after, it was quick.

I'll also mention (mostly for the guys crying they haven't gotten their rifle yet) there was no email with tracking information or anything like that, the notice card that I had a package waiting just appeared in my mailbox. So instead of whining and stomping your feet go check your mail and relax.
Sounds like we have a bunch of millennials on here, not the good type of millennials who's parents did a good job of preparing their kids for the real world but the entitled type who's parents were their best friends, never said no or disciplined them and told them that they can have anything they want.
Some of you should be ashamed of your behavior. I've seen six year olds behave better at a toy store after being told they couldn't have the toy they wanted.
Being mad at TI for not sending your package first because you ordered early? You think the sea can should have been packed with your order last in so as soon as they opened the container it was ready to ship to you as a reward for waiting for a year? Sorry, the people loading the container know nothing about the order other than what needs to go into the container, it's just luck of the draw which boxes were closest to the door. Maybe there should have been an option for the first 50 orders where you pick between a gorgeous blond or brunette in a bikini to hand deliver your rifle and tell you how special you are and give you a big kiss before leaving?

Lol yep it's those damn millenials again, #####ing and whining about lgs' backinthe day and blowing $1500 on a rifle and mags. Looks like you took your liberal pounce to further your anti-millenial agenda

This X2............. But you forgot to mention the trophy that the millennials will be looking for in the bottom of the box for participating.

Do you know anyone 23 or under getting this rifle? I don't know any millenials interested. Not sure where this comes from

Well, just to add to the crying.
I ordered mine after they cleared customs and look what came in the mail today.

They already said that the fixed stocks were shipping first simply because of how the container was packed. If you guys are going to cry about having to wait a day or two longer than someone that ordered after you it may be time to grow up. You got offered things I didn't, like a $50 credit and a free magazine. Am I crying about that? No, things are different for everyone depending what you ordered and where you live in relation to the distribution center they set up.
It's the middle of the week anyway, how many of you were actually going to be able to take it out shooting before the weekend anyway?

wow nice pic, waiting for mine...

Depends how drunk he gets..... identifiable key words to look for misspelled swears, cucked, facts, muffin, lackey’s, homosexual slurs and personal attacks. So pretty similar to most in pink I always am in awe how some of you guys can pick out specific members who come back or how they don’t try and change there speech patterns. Some of you guys should be professional investigators

Lol, sometimes it's more obvious that others but eventually they stop trying to be different and it becomes obvious who they are.
Funny thing is that in real life those guys wouldn't be nearly as cocky or douchy as they would get punched in the mouth but on here they think they're anonymous and can say anything like they're playing COD and mouthing off to guys.

Notice how I separated the good ones from the bad ones? Showing that I don't think they're all bad and only said some people on here are behaving like the bad ones. Could be 50 year old guys behaving like spoiled children for all I know, and if I was Lieberal anything I would be defending their childish behavior not saying what a bunch of ass's they're being.
Enjoy missing the message of other posts as well so you can justify calling people names and feel better about yourself.

One of the perks of living in a have province, lol.
I'm sure yours will be there soon, it's in Canada Posts hands and we all know how fast they move some days. As I said earlier, I never got any tracking info before my rifle showed up so just keep checking the box looking for the little white card, it's probably on it's way already.

Are you planning to paddle your canoe down a rocky river using the T81?
Mine feels solid enough that I'm not worried about breaking it under normal use. The sling attaches close to the receiver as well so the stock won't take much force when it's hanging on the sling.

Cross pinned through the spine, almost invisible and mine were pinned nicely to 5.5 so they insert on a closed bolt without problems.

The lower is 7 inches long and the upper is about 4 3/4 inches.
If you need exact measurements PM me with exactly what dimensions you need, I can go remove them if needed.

i need it to hold up to dirt shooting and bumpfiring

As far as Canada Post goes... these thousand rifles are no big deal at all... the biggest problem would be weather TI drops them off or if CP picks them up. And if they pick them up, is the truck large enough for whats going out that day. Last year from the end of November till Christmas... Canada Post delivered over a million parcels... PER DAY!! I am sure a thousand over a couple of weeks is no big deal.

FWIW, Wikipedia has this to say about it:

Millennials (also known as Generation Y) are the demographic cohort following Generation X. There are no precise dates for when this cohort starts or ends; demographers and researchers typically use the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years.

So in other words, anyone aged 17 through 37 can be considered a millenial. I wish I were that young!

By that definition, Andrew Scheer and Jagmeet Singh are less than 12 months away from being millenials themselves (!).

Wikipedia also maintains:

The majority of research concludes Millennials differ from both their generational cohort predecessors, and can be characterized by a preference for a flat corporate culture, an emphasis on work-life balance and social consciousness.

My personal experience after having hired countless millenials:

1) Flat corporate structure is a euphemism for wanting to have an equal voice to the Director, VP or President a short time after being hired. This doesn't last generally once reality sets in, but they all seem to start out thinking they should be running the place within a few months. I've seen a good many of them quit and move on because they weren't promoted to positions of authority within the first year. I can't blame them, if they are like many peopleraised in the 90's, their parents probably told them they were all special and superior to their peers.

2) Emphasis on work-life balance - in other words, on average, they are less likely to stay that extra 30 minutes to meet a key deadline and aren't as motivated by things like overtime.

3) Social consciousness - I tend to interpret this as less likely to question the "facts" they hear from celebrities like George Clooney or Leonardo DiCaprio. You know, the acclaimed climatologists with volumes of peer reviewed publications to their names? Reminds me of the 1970's hippie movement to just give peace a chance - while not realizing their very freedom to be morons was defended by fellow citizens with guns.

I don't mean to say all millenials are bad. Sometimes I work with a GREAT one. But the stigma is enough of a recognized "thing" among hiring managers that the Prime Minister has stopped using the term after being advised it now carries very negative connotations that many associate with laziness, lack of ambition, and a high likelihood of sponging off mom and dad. Not my opinion, it's the opinion of a high-priced Liberal consultant - see here: http://nationalpost.com/news/politics/liberal-government-advised-not-to-call-young-people-millennials-lest-they-be-insulted
