The Zhukov folder is a weak design... after years of innovation, success and quality products they should be allowed to have a few duds. Lol.

Well, you know what they say: "reputation takes years to build and seconds to destroy".

I doubt a guy dishing out $200+ of his hard earned cash for a Magpul AK stock/furniture + those weak-ass Pmags will be as forgiving as you are when cracks appear...

;)

It's because I'm an understating guy. This is Magpuls attempt at the AK market. So far the AK forearms and pistol grips are winners.... the mags and folding stocks need some more work. Not every methodology learned from the AR world will translate to the AK world.

Anyways... what are we at. 50% delivery so far?

Yeah, well that's not even the right video. There is a vid by Iraqveteran8888 (I think) where he shoots one in snowy weather and then taps it on the ground to extract a stuck round and the damn thing falls apart on him (can't find it right now). Cold weather is the key to failure though, it seems. Probably has something to do with the type of "polymer" Magpul uses.

Anyway, looks like their mags are crappy too. Don't waste your money, buy the original (metal) stuff bud. Stuff that works always beats stuff that only "looks good".

I wanted a short mag for shooting off the table and for while I walk with it, I have been carrying it around my land for a few days now and want to make it more comfortable. I definitely won't be buying that stock, I'll find a good utility option so I quit beating the crap out of the wood. I probably would have bought the Magpul MOE stock but it was the same length of pull as the T81 stock, I'd like another inch

If a Pmag cracks I'll buy another one, for $20 I could care less.
I did learn after I modified the Pmag that I didn't need to cut the back as low as the T81 mags. Next time I'll do it better. Now that I know what needs to be done I can mod an AK mag to work in one if these in a couple minutes.

Then I suggest sourcing the stock 5rd SKS-D mags. Maybe TI can get them from Polytech? I had one once, they are the exact replica of a metal AK47 30rd mag, but much shorter. No pinning necessary and it sticks out only like 2 or 3 inches. Perfect for carrying around or using at the range, given our asinine 5rd mag limit law. They are also very quick to change and store, much better than the pinned mags of any length.

Again, functionality over looks is the name of the game. 5/30's look more badass, but 5 rounders are more practical.

Well didnt even think of that, Lucky for me I have 3 of them for some weird reason... lol...

One thing of note with installing the Magpul grip. We get lucky on this one boys and girls, the thread on the nut used in the rifle matches the thread of the supplied screw with the MOE+. Not always so lucky trying to install US parts on Chinese rifles.

one thing I dont understand is why people buying so many same type of mags? 2-3 is enough.

Lol, I have around 50 STANAG pattern mags, 6 AI 223 mags for my bolt actions, around 20 mags for my Glock 21, 6 for my Glock 17 (need more), 5 for my T81 (need more), around 10 for my 1911, you can never have enough. Even if we didn't have such stupid magazine capacity laws I'd still own this many, I don't use them all, some are just in case one starts acting up. Price only goes up so for firearms I know I'll always need mags for like AR mags I just buy them whenever they are on sale.

Two or three is enough to take with you to the range for an afternoon of lazy relaxing shooting but not enough to own in your collection. :p

Ever attended shooting classes or CQB/3guns matches ? And magazines are a wear item, its very normal to have a lot ready to replace those that fail. Plus I hate spending more time relaoding than shooting, so having a ton of mags makes me shoot for a longuer time

I still don't get why people think that because someone ordered first, that theirs should be shipped first. That was never a part of the deal, or agreement...the preorderem was only to guarantee that you would get one...TI never mentioned that you would receive your rifle before subsequent orders...

If you can;t understand why it's not a good idea for TI to service their most loyal customers in a logical shipping order, then we get it - you are more tolerant than most consumers and you loyalty to TI is unshakeable. Great. I'm glad TI has a foundation that starts with you.

Most consumers are more objective in where they prefer to shop, and a fair and transparent shipping order would have satisfied a larger swah of their customer base and kept more of them interested in participating in future pre-orders. If that doesn't match your view of the world, great, but MANY MANY MANY other people feel differently and are entitled to say so without you forcing your (apparently minority) views on them.

The customer is always right, my friend.

Lever Arms stocks them also.
