The Type 81 has been and is being manufactured by other countries such as Bangladesh and Myanmar, not only China. This means there is a lot of variants out there... and maybe even alternate sources to manufacture / import semi versions.

Holy crap, that's genius! Thanks! The 5-mag pouches they have in the video are even better than the tiny chest rigs! Way more practical for range, hunting, etc use. :)

Here's the cheapest one on eBay (new condition surplus):

No problem :p Yeah those look awesome, Im going to order one... or two ;)

In later years, the Chinese seem to have issued the plastic green bottles with the star on the front. The Type 81 most probably got the same bottle issued. Not 100% sure though.

I see two different versions of the green bottle with the star, plus a transparent version, more squared versions and metal versions. I'm between the one you've pictured and the other one that is similar. My plan is to use the mag tote for the range and to have the oiler in one small pocket and the spare parts that TI is making available later in the other.

I'm also looking at ordering an oiler bottle but I see many different variants available. I wonder which type may have actually been given with a Type 81?

There are approximately 45 variations of PLA oil bottles identified to date ranging from the initial issue of dual spout metal ones for the Type 53 rifle to many, many plastic single spout varieties at present.

You would not be far wrong with a round green or whitish plastic single spout oiler embossed with a star or the rectangular green plastic style. Be advised they are sometimes leaky as the soft plastic of the cap distorts if you put them on too tight. (thus the design of the oil pockets on the rigs with an impermeable layer). I prefer the round metal single spout embossed with Chinese characters with gasketed cap which you can really tighten, but they are harder to find.

This version has the most "bling" but is best saved for cleaning your Type 81 on a date or something.

I just want the green synthetic furniture I've seen on some of the Myanmar T-81s.

Sweet, I got the bayo for 22$ US, an original chest rig for 7$ and original sling for $6 ;) gotta look for the deals. Best part about China is there are so many competing seller for the same outlet they try to undersell each other. Good day for me :)

Well i ordered the 440c hunting knife but pictures were all t81 Bayos. Doesn’t matter as he canceled my order and it now doesn’t give an option to buy as it says seller won’t ship to my primary address here in Ontario. Anyone have any links ?

Thanks for heads up. I just ordered another. Interesting that these $30 Cdn ones appear to be blued or park finish. Other one is bright finish. Must have one of each!
