I ordered a folder so I log into this thread at the end of each day to see what's up, see if there is a pic or something interesting.
411 pages of chat all created by a small handful of the same people, geeking over the strangest of things... The vast majority of people who ordered these rifles are not even on this thread, I think there is something wrong with us, lol. I can't get to critical because I am here too, but I just cant help but think, this thread is where all the people who live in their Mother's basements because they spent their money on guns hang out..... This is my contribution to the strangest thread I have seen in my life. On the upside I did call one of friends "muffin" today, so yeah, thanks for that you basement dwellers, lol....
At the end of the day, TI went the distance and successfully got a gun into this country that many of us thought wouldn't happen even though we placed an order... The Type 81 is the one immigrant that I am amazed cleared customs.

Other then the charging handle I don't see any resemblance between the 81 and the SKS, any more then I see a resemblance between a VZ58 and an SKS
T81 still looks better, and once all said and done with all the customization, that frankeistein SKS probably cost just as much if not more.

Well considering it started life as a regular SKS-D... and what they go for... I'm sure the craftsman and previous owner barely broke even. The work was well done however.
I agree on the good work. It must have been a fun project pre T81 availability too. Today unfortunately, no reason to look at that SKS in awe.

Haven’t been in my mother’s basement since I was a teenager... well except that one time when I was moving... I come to this thread for the prospect of gun #### and a healthy serving of hilarious madness. So far it’s delivered in spades.
