I respectfully disagree. Didn’t notice at first but Hirvgotti's bolt does look different

Maybe I'm not seeing where you are talking about? Can you post a pic with an arrow pointing at the part you are seeing?

The bolt catch moves freely and has great coverage when operated manually like shown below. However the problem is the tolerance in my magwell allows the mag to rock forward too far tilting the rear of the mag down so it doesn't apply the bolt catch. The reason the bolt catch works sometimes in my video is because I am putting pressure on it towards the rear of the rifle ensuring it is tight to the back like it's supposed to be.

I know what you mean about the second ledge and possible user error for insertion of the mags, that is not what you are seeing in the video I posted and for further knowledge of what that would look like I've photographed the differences below.

I believe this is the area they're referring to.

I agree on that not being his problem with BHO, but his bolt is different in the circled spot than mine. Lol I think I can even see machining marks on his where you think it's shadow. Who knows, I only have mine to look at.That area has nothing to do with BHO function, and I think both bolts are machined the same there - to me (I don't have it in my hands, obviously), they look the same, but there is an optical illusion making one look 90 degrees due to the lighting.
Hmmm, could it just be the mag catch? If not it sounds like you need to send it back.![]()
It is and it isn't a mag issue. I've confirmed all my mags work in another T81 without issue. That being said, one of my mags works in mine without an issue. So that means the mags aren't all doing the same thing and my rifle is slightly out of spec somehow. Not to mention my stock is pretty crooked and barrel has a definite drift to the right. Thanks for the suggestions.
Sorry about your rifle not BHO properly man, that stinks.
As for the bolded comment.. I think they all are lol.
Hard to say what is out of spec and causing the severe mag rocking. (I'm fine with mag rocking just as long as the features work as they should) Anyways this whole thing has bummed me out. I absolutely love the rifle and am just hoping I hear back from TI on Monday.
If anyone sees something different/wrong about either of these areas feel free to chime in.

I won't have a chance until later today but I will do a thorough comparison of mine for you when I do. As to the bolt pics of the machined surface in question, it would appear that the amount cut can vary but as said would have no effect on BHO.
If not today then for sure later on in the week I will be taking a very critical eye to my samples. If your BHO is broken/unreliable it is up to you if you can live with that/accept tweaking it right on your own. I know some people would send it back on the spot. I have no judgement either way, it is up to each owner what to do in their own circumstances.
PM me if you want to try to meet up, I am in the lower mainland too
Half my 8 mags don't BHO or aren't pinned right
I've got a bunch of AK mags on the way so soon I'll have more mags that don't BHO than do![]()
Well I can't say for certain but from your pic your BHO slider may not extend as high as it should? On mine it looks like they go up further. I may be out to lunch though, would need to do a side by side to be certain.
Hope TI has gotten back to you about your rifle.
Yes they did, I was given instructions to return it to them on Monday as promised. Tracking is showing it will reach them Dec 20th then who knows what happens after that. I'm hoping I have a T81 to bring in the new year with![]()
