More differences between this unit and advertised folder/received fixed stocks. Not happy about this at all.

They paint filled all of this crap, which wasn't the case again on the advertised pictures or the fixed stocks.

Nice to see some of you guys finally getting the folders, the darker colored cheek rests definately look better then the blonde ones. The blonde ones look like they are bleached or something?
Sucks that they are made of plastic, will probably have to paint them unless they can be dyed.
I wonder if these shoot low and left like the fixed stock ones seem to do?

It’s worth mentioning the wood on the fixed stock is chuwood or something similar for the butt stock, while the remainding hand guards and pistol grip are beech.
I think the finish is varnish or polyurethane, as I needed several goes at it with antique stripper.
Under the finish, the wood on mine is dyed. I’m in the process of using different bleaching agents to neutralize the dies and staining of the wood.
Once complete I’m going to stain in a uniform colour and oil finish.

Looks like I'll be going a similar route with my folder. Did you remove the wood completely or are you doing all this with the hand guards still attached? Hopefully the other folder spare cheeks come with the missing clip that OP doesn't have.
Even though you have it, you need to do some work to put it on...
I think those are made of fiberglass, and very easy to chip away.
What do you mean? Yours did come with the missing clip that you circled in that photo?
I don't have the clip, but this part should be done at the factory anyways.
