so has anyone with a bent rifle shot it to see if it functions properly?

I never had a chance to shoot mine but just shipped mine out tonight back to TI for replacement. Fingers crossed this all goes well.

TI told me that they have replacement rifles in stock when I called today

No, TI mentioned in a post buried in one of these various threads that they retained extra rifles for any warranty issues. How many of each model is unknown.

They wouldn't be stupid enough to just send people rifles that they know are defective. Im sure that they kept some in reserve just in case this happened.

Ooooor they did the smart thing and actually imported an X amount MORE than the 1000 rifles (but did not tell the public cus they werent for sale anyways) as backups for situations just like this.

I think if you have to keep looking to see if it's bent, it's not bent.
But if you stare at it long enough, you may see what you want to see.
