True, we will see. I hope they fit.
TI has just said they will be blued.
So now that these are blued, we can make sense of the price tag just a little more. I still see these rifles at an "Introductory, no one has it, buy from us" price point, which I won't buy into personally. That kind of explains why they want the full price up front, rather than 10%, which people could easily cancel should there be cheaper options elsewhere.
Parkerizing isn't any cheaper to do than blueing unless the latter is a fancy high polish job.
I get the impression that TI is small operation and can't beat the bigger more established guys on volume.
Me personally I'm probably going to wait until they are available at a local gun store so I can check them out in person before I buy.

TI has stated that there will likely not be any to sell, as the pre-order is for the full lot.
Once they are gone, that's it. No stores will get any, unless used ones pop up after, but I wouldn't be surprised if they sell for more...
We could very well see a "Dominion Arms Type 81 Canadian Sporting Rifle" in the works... maybe even as we speak, lol!
If another importer brought in the exact same manufacture, make and model of type 81,then it would be lumped into the existing frt.
But change the name, model or brand and it's all new. Doesn't mean it would need a whole other exam, but the lab probably would none the less. They seem to lack faith in the stuff coming out of China to be consistent.
Thanks for clearing that up, guys (regarding the FRT # procedure). That "gun lab" works in mysterious ways sometimes, lol!
Regardless of how they decide to go about it, once a certain firearm is in, it will be very unlikely that a carbon-copy of the exact same firearm under another name would receive a different classification. Hence why TI is paving the way for more Type 81's hitting our market in a not-so-distant future, most probably.
Interesting times for sure...

Again... they are coming in with a blued finish. And not the painted wood in the frt sample pics.
Restricted versions coming?
Not at first. You think you'd notice the 1 inch difference?
(That's what she said....)
