So, the question is, based on the RCMP note about the 'easily converted' are they now allowing the market to be flooded by these types of firearms, highlighting the 'loopholes' in the current laws, which will force action by the current government to slam the door shut, and add additional prohibitions? Or am I reading too deep into this?

This is kinda what I have been thinking. Get everyone to buy all these cool new guns/shotguns, then reclassify them to restricted/prohibited to add insult to injury to the firearms community!! Call me paranoid, but all this stuff being allowed in and the Akdal 1919 being reclassified to non-restricted is so strange for the RCMP and this current government that it seems like a trap!

CSA's Vz 58's & type 81 are all the same to me. Is it the "look" of the rifle that people Must have.? I don't see it.....they all shoot 762x39 . Why not buy a High Cal sks Conversion for HALF the price and have TWICE the fire power.?? my2 cents.

These don't look anything alike to me apart from a silhouette... They are all unique.

Interesting that they say the gun uses polymer 30 round mags and metal 20 round mags. Would be cool to get a selection of both.

There probably enough money put on that SKS to buy a VZ. its not only about the look, its ergonomics, weight and balance. I bet that pimped out sks is still heavier than a VZ.

HighCal butchering (conversion) makes the sks look fugly. I rather keep the sks as is.
