Type 81 Owners Corner !

who ever said this thing was nicer than a Cz858 needs to lay off the drugs...

feels cheap like all the other norico crap I have handled.

Mine really does not feel cheap, the furniture fit is a little iffy, but it feels alot better then my T97, and M305.....

Went shooting mine today 115 rounds, had feeding issue on the first mag , but only this mag after that it was feeding ok but no bolt hold open working on that one , i accidentally chipped the top of the stock , didnt put correctly back the dust cover and it ended up to pop while firing , other than that this things feel to have less muzzle rise than my cz858 , it function well temps was like -14 with a feeling around -20 today around here , Sight arent too bad to use when you get used to it , had to adjust the front post mine was shooting very low , didnt really look for group , but seem to be comparable to my cz858/sks

you got yours?

Hell yeah

Initial impressions: Service from TI good. Ordered week ago Monday and arrived on Vancouver Island today.

ergonomics are poor for a full sized person. Pistol grip is small, butt stock short and cheek weld ends up above sight axis. Rifle feels light especially in back end but is reasonably well balanced

Sights are poor - short radius and don't get the bar across the top

safety is poorly shaped and has sharp edges, bolt handle is a bit small, sight adjustment has sharp edges and is too small, trigger long and creepy, mag release small and difficult to operate

finish is what you would expect for a cheap Chinese rifle i.e. poor and not up to standards we would expect in North America. Whole rifle feels cheap and tinny.

Love the AK look but initial impressions are not that this is $1100 worth. Compared to a SKS you are not getting a lot of value for your money.

Still kudos to TI for bringing this into Canada
