Type 81 Owners Corner !

Lock this thread in honor of ZAB and BUMSEX and SUPERPOOFIGHTER and the rest of his multiple personalities

Just received mine.

Anyone who's receiced theirs; does your bolt and bolt carrier group look like it was "adjusted" with a dremel by someone with shaky hands?

It wasn't me, I drink to steady my hands before working on my T81.

If you post a pic I'll compare it to mine. If you're talking about the grooves machined in the carrier then yes there are very distinct machining marks on mine as well. Doesn't seem to affect anything.

Well at least we know how long before these start getting bubba'd....lol

It's not some fancy rifle, I'm going to make do it exactly what I want it to do or I'll be selling it, I should be able to get $1500 for it on the EE with all the mods that have been done. Right? Lol.

My photobucket won't let me embed as far as I know but I'll pm you

Was the rear sight really bad? I can see how it might obstruct your view while shooting... fairly odd design choice there by the PRC.

The brutal machining is normal for Chinese guns...
It's how you know you got an original and not a fake lol

Lol generally I'd agree but I inspected the rifle further and the hand dremeled bolt matched with the lack of bluing remaining on the rails leads me to believe she was problematic. So they made adjustments till she would fire and shipped her out

You might have ended up with the best firing of the bunch. I hope bumsex didn't have anything to do with that wear.

Hand fitted. The 1911 crowd pay extra for that.

It made the targets blurry for me, I haven't shot it yet since cutting them but I have looked through it outside and it seems much better.
