Type 81 Owners Corner !

"Hits a 10" gong at 300m about 80% of the time kneeling/ standing in rapid fire. " WOW......Man you have the eagle eyes! At 300m, I could barely see my 12 inches squard gong...That thick front post does't help too.

lol Same here.
I only shoot irons and consider myself an above average shot with iron sight rifles.
I can barely see my buddies 12" plate at 200 meters when I shoot at it with my M16A1 with precision front post. If I can see it, I can hit it usually from prone pretty consistently but again that's with a full 20" pencil barrel, tight, well maintained AR15 shooting half decent quality bulk North American ammo.
I wouldn't be able to see that target at 300m let alone hit if with an SKS/T81 even if I could.

I call shenanigans on that.

Still didn’t get my tracking number TI was supposed to check the riffle for any bending issues and magazine issues and shipping was supposed to be Monday or yesterday but still no tracking at all no status changed very painful process...
Hard to see some t81 on the EE while I still didn’t get sh*t

Guess the way you have to look at it, is when you do get it.. hopefully it wont be bent... mine should be here tomorrow... but God only knows what shape it will be in!

He meant 300 ft.

Or 10' gong. I see a lot of guys mixing up ' and "

Here is the gong he was talking about, it's a 30 feet gong he shot from a distance of 10 meters.
Some people get their number mixed up.

I am blessed with decent eyes (corrected) but at that distance practice with irons (and I practice a LOT) and a rough idea of bullet drop at known ranges helps more in knowing where to hold. Through trial and error, have figured out that the 6 O'Clock hold at the "4" setting is just perfect for the bullet and this rifle combo at 300m to hit the gong consistently.

I had some questions I was hoping someone could help me with;

My rifle does not hold the bolt open on an empty mag. I tried it with 3 mags. Is it supposed to and if so should I send it back for repair?

If the rifle looks straight should I assume it's ok or is there a way to check?

What are the items in the box? One looks likes a cleaning rod in a 22 magazine and the other I assume is a sight tool?

Did I read somewhere that TI would supply matching wood covers for the folder and if so how do I get these?
