Projects I thought are fun :) DMR's in 6.5 Grendel and 6mm ARC. 6.5 Grendel is built, 6mmARC is underway. Used Ruger American barrel for the 6.5 (22") and a .243 Tikka barrel for the 6mm project. Had to chop the 243 chamber and cut a new one in 6mm ARC, 20" barrel length after that

The AK-74 brake on mine has been a healthy balance between reducing the jump and recoil, but yet not completely messing up my ears while hunting. Not sure how the muzzle flash is tho. Recently switched my sks back from a compensator to a flash hider... the increase in recoil is substantial and it doesnt sound much quieter. Not a fan function wise.
 
It would be prohibited if you shortened the barrel at all. If you had a shorter barrel made and installed it would just be restricted.

Cant cut barrels less than 18 inches here, because our laws are written by morons.

It's an original Russian AKSU folder, cut and welded to a Vz58 folding mechanism, and then attached to a T81 adapter. Ridiculous, right??

It was originally on my restricted Vz58, but as that gun's stuck in the safe for all eternity, I figured the stock should at least get some use. I felt ikky taking that stock off of beautiful Vz to put it on a mediocre T81. Oh well, under Justin and his merry band of buffoons, you gotta do what you gotta do, I suppose.

That is fantastic. What kind of groups are you getting from the Grendel? Also can I pay you to do one up for me haha

Thank you kindly! Unfortunately I did not have time to develop the load for it. I hope it to be capable of 1 MOA, as the donor barrel was doing 0.25MOA pretty consistently in the Ruger American.
I can't do services as I am not licensed for that, however I may sell some of my projects later on, to fund new ones.
The projects underway that I plan to part with in the near future are (of course N/R):

- Tabuk-inspired LMG DMR in 6mm ARC + new RCBC dies. I am sure people know - the 6mm (Advanced Rifle Cartridge) is basically a "6mm Grendel" for the lack of better comparison. A small low-recoil cartridge designed for the 1000yd military/varmint use by Hornady
- T81 folder in 5.56 NATO (using the T97 barrel). For this one I just can't find AK mags in either 5.56 or 5.45, to make sure it cycles well. I may need to start looking for the VZ 223 mags for that purpose I guess

Way cool project list! You may want to see if you can source Polish Beryl magazines; it's their version of a .223 AK.

check online auctions norinco AK magazines in .223 come up often.

Also PLEASE post the build sheets and methodology for such a conversion to 5.56 NATO that would be amazing lord have mercy

Nice finishing work! I wish we could shorten these to 16" without breaking law. Would be neat VEPR-like thingy

Thanks! Yeah, shorter version with AKM brake will look awesome. And 30 rnd mag, and select fire and..... Wish list goes on, but laws are getting more strict and more stupid
