Type-81 pictures, range reports, and modifications thread

Anyone got suggestions on 1913 compatible folding stocks for the T81?

I currently have the A3 Tactical aluminium triangle stock installed, solid and reliable, but am looking for something with more LOP/cheek adjustment.
I hear the Midwest Alpha stocks seems to be the bees knees, but are also quite expensive.
I hear good/bad things about zhukovs, and also not sure about their connectivity with a 1913 pic rail.

Anyone with any experience, suggestions or photos of their setups would be much appreciated. Cheers!

you can get an airsoft equivalent to a JMAC ST6 skeleton folding buffer tube. I have one on my 81SA and it's held up over 2000 rounds. with no problems. There are steel or aluminum versions out there, just depends what you're looking for.

You could contact the new Whiskey1 polymer accessories division of Spectre LTD, and see if they have an ETA in the 1913 or Type 81 native stock variants. No reviews out, but specs are for fiberglass infused, folding, variable length of pull, and an adjustable cheek riser that moves with the end of the stock when you pull it.

Very good point, thank you. I like that the adjustable riser can be easily lowered without tools, that'll allow iron sights usage if needed.

Nice looking build. It might benefit from having a buttstock with an adjustable cheek riser piece so that you don't need to have your chin up on the buttstock in order for your eyes to line up with that sight. For example:

Spectre LTD has spun off a polymer division, Whiskey1. They are making a fiberglass infused folding ACR-style stock for buffer tube socket firearms with a adjustable cheek riser that stays with the end of the stock as you adjust the length. It is unknown if it is actually good yet, but they did say they wanted to make a Type 81 specific version. You may want to message them for an ETA, assuming in the wild reports come back with positive reviews.
