Type 81 Sniper Rifle?

From the site specs the barrel is the same length as the LMG variant. the only differences I can easily spot is the longer front handguard, the modified stock, and the cut to the rear of the receiver. The white background promo photos on the TI site look stretched a bit to emphasize length.

Still looks pretty neat though.

Getting this error "DECLINED * SYSTEM PROBLEM =CANNOT PROCESS*PLEASE RETRY". I triple confirmed the details and yet it's still giving me this error.

I had the same issue, their system is overloaded lol.

Just call in and they'll take your order manually over the phone

I bought one. Bit of an impulse buy, I have always loved the look of the SVD and this might be as close as we ever get. I will admit I am having buyers remorse already only because I wish it was in 7.62x54.

Just got off the phone with them, their server has crashed he asked me to wait until tomorrow to place my order as he has techs working to get the site operational again. He told me he's got over 2000 rifles in stock.

The caliber definetly makes this kind of meh... needs to be scaled up for 308 imo... Id rather an underfolder regular rifle without the grenade launcher

Too bad it’s not chambered in 54R. The 7.62x39 really isn’t meant for this sort of rifle. Looks neat though.

Yep! There Internet website is crashing hard it’s not taking orders for most people just phone in, they put the pot of coffee on already. P.s. just a guess at this time. 1000+ of these units. 400+ gone already! Sh*t or get off the pot.

Looks like the community is split on the calibre but aye, to each their own. I bought one and sold my rifle. Will report MOA even though they reported it on their website. Maybe ill start a type 81 SR thread.

54r would be nice, but in reality unless the gun is like sub 2moa to compliment the effective range of 54r, whats the point? I can reach out further with my SKS and hit steel then i can with my SVT40. The SVT40 vertical strings like 5+moa and worse as it gets hotter. Meanwhile the 500m 7.62x39 is cheap, comfortable and just as fun/ satisfying to shoot at range.

This literally sums up exactly why I bought one aswell
