Type 81 Sniper Rifle?

I suspect it's the TI homemake version. It's hard to believe that Poly would care about the "huge" ca market
 
Is this a one-time shipment, or will there be more in the future? Would love to pick one up but I'm already overextended on recent R-purchasing haha

It has to be something Poly did cus the barrel, barrel component locations, receiver cuts and gas cover tin are all new things weve never seen offered before. I highly doubt TI could get that work done here and still retain the 1500 price tag.

I'm starting to think that this entire song and dance about limited availability and only being able to piggyback off of PLA or Norinco export orders is BS just for marketing and hype selling. If these guns were made just for us, (which they were, what sane military would want a 7.62x39 DMR) then obviously it's possible to get anything made. Remember the first ever type 81 shipment that took so long was supposed to be the only shipment ever since the factory was going to be shut down or something.

Haha maybe, ultimately im glad they keep coming in.
 
I agree with the others that said this would be awesome in 7.62x54r, there aren't enough rifles available in this calibre for the amount of surplus ammunition still available. Still looks like fun, thanks for bringing these in TI.
