TI can you confirm that the Kobra EKP-1S-03 comes with the mount in the link posted below? There is cross leading info between threads and when looking at the optic only link it provides the mounting solution to be the link followed below @ $588.

Looks to me like they have two options on the site one is the optic for 399 and the other is the optic suited to the type 81 for 588 which includes the stuff needed to mount it so effectively the way i see it you are getting 10 bux off the combined items?

Adapter plates are different, they are made specifically for each and not interchangeable. That being said you could just keep either Picatinny or Kobra attached to the adpater plate and just screw on/off
To quote myself from another thread:
The non-optic version ready will come with unthreaded pins that sit flush with receiver and a left safety.
The optic ready version will come with a right side safety and pins with a recessed hex socket on the right side, and a section of threaded pin that will project out the left side of the receiver. This removes the trickier parts of the installation process, as it leaves only installing the side rail when the kit is purchased. However, will there be any issue with catching the threaded pin projections on something until you get around to buying the optic side rail? Probably me being paranoid, but someone could probably just throw a nut of the correct size on the threading as a thread protector if they were really worried. It will appear as pictured below, from the TI installation video:

Magpul makes 20 round polymer, and KCI makes 20 rounds steel ak magazines you could convert to fit. (and others but magpul and KCI are pretty available in Canada)
As cool as 20 round proper T81 mags are, getting norinco to invest in new stampings for is a non starter. Our market isn't even big enough to warrant them making T81's for us. We are piggy backing off military orders.
TI has stated the current shipment is being sold in four parts. Part One is sold out, with three parts remaining. I suspect this will allow them to administer the shipping in an easier manner then the free-for-all on the LMGs when those first came in. Whether there will be another entire shipment will depend on demand and if the factory makes another border for the non-Chinese government military to piggyback on.
