Type 81 Trainer (Norinco XS-B3-1)

I exceeded the speed limit today, I will wait for my ticket in the mail.

How disingenuous. You do understand how the issueance of traffic tickets works don't you?
Try to confess to a firearms crime online instead, see how that works out...

youza.

Yikes, you really have a hard time following and reading between the lines, don't you.

No one confessed to a firearms crime, Bfiles. No one claimed that somebody did either.

It was in response to Daver_II's flawed speeding ticket example, to offer a more fitting scenario of what consequences the volunteering of potentially incriminating gun-related information online could actually have.

Yes the thread is amusing, but mainly because you and others have been having obvious comprehension issues as you tried to be part of it.

Again LMFAO to the #### you post is just so unreal

Again LMFAO to the #### you post is just so unreal

What part of it is unreal? Or unreasonnable? Or out of place? Or disrespectful?
I'm all ears.

You seem as agitated as fenceline is. I'm really, really unsure of why you are trying to make this so confrontational. But if you must, then go right ahead and explain, point by point, what is so "unreal" as you so vaguely put it. You can use as many curse words as you want, if that makes you feel like you're winning the discussion...

Hey Youza...

Have you noticed there are a number of air rifles that are <500 in Canada and not-regulated, but in the states are >500 which would require a PAL?

Same manufacturer, same receiver, different guns.

Fact is the manufacturer is aware of the laws and makes <500 for Canadian market, they are imported and approved for sale by the regulatory bodies.

What me saying sh!t or other curse words hurt your feelings???

I'm sure you know a few good safe spaces to retreat too

The whole thing is you dont listen to what anyone else has to say, what femceline and Daver II are saying are spot on.
That's it
No need to carry on

Still missing the point.

You guys keep talking about the specifics of XYZ guns.

I am talking about the act of publically sharing concerns that a rifle *might* bare certain components or characteristics that could put it at risk of being scrutinized by authorities, which could lead to results we've seen before.

Get it? Its not about the gun itself. Its about the risk vs. reward of specific info sharing.

This was my point at post #2, and remains.

I'm not sure why you guys seem to have so much trouble understanding that.

Yeah they are spot on....except they keep missing the point. Its like they don't even understand the very subject of the discussion...

You still seem agitated.

Youza.

Lets clarify : Do you all think its a good idea, or one without potentially damaging consequences, to share such suspicions about a gun, any gun, on this forum?

Because thats the actual question here.

Youza.

Re: the JR thing - the RCMP all but begged him not to push it, because they'd have to look at the whole issue (they were aware that the guns weren't exactly as advertised) so if he'd just walk away they'd not bother- he wouldn't. This was according to the other party involved and was posted here at the time.

Well you started with the specific gun. Fencline and I have you counter-arguments that proved our side of the discussion. You lost.

You brought up specific examples (Swiss arms) Which many people chimed in saying the story is unrelated as it wasn't internet talk that brought the RCMP down on it... Your own example doesn't support your argument.

Now you are blanket statement about RCMP monitoring of CGN.

Nobody disagrees with that.

God forbid we talk about guns on a gun forum.

Why don't you start an off topic about information sharing on the Internet that is monitored by the government. Then we can agree on your generalized but true "wide net" argument.

But for the red rifles forum about the type 81 trainer... let's talk about that here.

the specific other examples I brought up were to support my point ; guns can and do get reclassified.

fenceline did in fact seem to disagree with the generalization I made about sharing such information;

He started with the condescending attitude right from the get go in post #8 listing this one guns characteristics....in response to my post #7, where I dont talk about a gun, but rather about the RCMP monitoring of this forum...so he missed my point right from the start. tone only got worst after that, he was completely irate and holier-than-thou...which was totally uncalled for. Its also not the first time I read this tone from him, he sounds like he has serious oil change issues.

maybe both points couldve been made in a civil manner, but he clearly had a preference for a confrontation, just like his worshipper bfiles, who appeared out of the blue and diverted the discussion to how I "didn't know who fenceline was", was clearly agitated and felt like he needed to boast his leader, which was totally irrelevant to the nature of the discourse...

You on the other hand Daver_II sound cool and composed, I guess I wouldve prefered to have this discussion with you, seems it wouldve been much more constructive.

Youza.
