U.S. Made M14 Receivers?

I posed the same question to Different, his answer: "August 1994 or shortly thereafter".

I think the Chinese have almost reached the bottom of their pile of M14 parts, receivers in specific.

Yup, I been figuring that for a few months now.
I'm only assuming but I think they must have started making some barrels a little more recently as the 2009 and newer barrels, seem different and the 18.5" factory barrels I'm guessing are more recent as I wasn't aware of them making those "back in the day"
My apologies to the OP for going off track hehe

Agreed!

I live in the states and have easy access to M14 receivers made in the USA.
That said, all of my M14s are built on Norinco & Poly Tech receivers... this has not diminished their value, not at all.

BTW, Chinese receivers are dimensionally closer to USGI receivers than all others except SEI.

You mean,..*cough*, *cough*.......by not using a US-made receiver you can still sell you rifle for more than 10 dollars or scrap weight in the USA??

Wow,.... that's great to know H2O, I was always inclined to think as you on this matter.

There may be hope for the Chinese rifles here in :canadaFlag:Canada:canadaFlag: as well, they could start catching on any day now.....*cough*,....:p
