Uberti Colt Burgess 44-40 Rifle

[Matt74]

Hi,
The old man would like to have one of these. Anyone know if they are available in Canada?

Epps had some in stock at one time. One thing about the uberti burgess is I read a lot about light primer strikes when they first same out though it might be fixed by that by now.I would go on the CAS forums and check the review forum

I have one in 45 Colt ( haven't fired it yet), and seen one in 44/40 in Reddeer a few weeks back.

Thanks. Yes, I forgot to ask about the quality of these rifles as well if anyone has first hand experience.

Two showed up at the last Chilliwack show.

One original and one replica.

Try the Historical Arms Collectors Society of B.C.'s web site in the trading section.

again, not having shot mine, I would say it is on par with most other Uberti rifles I have handled. Fit and finish are nice, action smooth, bluing is nice, even and dark.

Thanks. Did not see any for sale at Epps, nor Wolverine, nor on the Hacsbc site. Maybe will put up a WTB. What are these going for new and used up here?
