Ultimate Hand-gun collection - one for every caliber

I know I've seen a 45-70 handgun somewhere. Just can't remember who made it.

I would have no desire to fire such a monstrosity.

Well.... maybe once.

You want to fire a monstrosity? Try the Zeliska Revolver, in .600 Nitro mag

(I'm not adding that to the list)

Sweet Jesus, 7 pages and I have to be the first to point out that you are asking about "Cartridges" or "Chamberings" NOT Calibres!!

Calibre is a bore measurement - 45ACP, 45GAP, 45 Colt, 454 Casull and 460 S&W are all "45 Calibre" handguns, but they are all different cartridges.

.25ACP - prohib
.38ACP - not around anymore
.38S&W - too rare
.30 Luger - added
7.65x25 - already on the list
.30 Mauser - added

Thanks

38S&W is more common than 30 Mauser or Luger. Piles of enfield and Webley revolvers out there.

And modern guns are being made in .380. Many just happen to be prohib up here.

If someone wanted to accomplish this, how many calibers are there? I'm only talking about commercially available, nothing to exotic or rare. I have a list so far;

.17 HMR

.22 LR

.22 Short/Long *secondary caliber

.22 WMR

.32 ACP *Skorpion, technically a "rifle"

.380 ACP (9x17mm Browning)

.38 Super (9x23 +P)

.357 SIG

.357 S&W Mag (9x33 R)

.38 Spec. (9x29.5mm R)

5.7x28mm *FN

.30 Luger

.30 Mauser

.30 Carbine

7.62x25mm *DA-762 or Tokarev

9x18mm Makarov

9mm Para (9x19mm)

9mm Win (9x23mm) * custom 1911

10mm Auto

.40 S&W

.400 COR-BON *custom Les Baer

.41 Rem Mag

.44-40 Win

.44 Rem Mag

.44 S&W Special *secondary caliber

.45 GAP

.45 ACP

.45 LC

.410 ga. *secondary caliber

.460 S&W Mag

.45 Sch. *secondary caliber

.454 Casull

.460 Rowland *custom Wilson Combat

.45 Super *seconday? custom?

.50 GI *Guncrafter

.50 AE

.500 S&W Mag

So far, there's 30 different calibers requiring at least 24 guns. Anyone here have any thoughts on this? Any calibers that could be added? Any removed?

Let me know what you think!

Also, if you like, list which gun you would choose for each caliber as you preference/first choice. (I'm still working on that)

*edit: list has grown to 37 calibers!

You'll need a .32-20, a .475 Linebaugh, and a .500 Wyoming, shouldn't be much more than $3K each.
