Un-earthed another NON Restricted HK G36

The HK G36E SA is NR because there is nothing about the rifle that warrants a Restricted classification under the terms of the Firearms Act. It costs $12,500 because of supply and demand. As in very limited supply and surprisingly high demand....

That's it, that's all there is to the G36E SF rifles. They are as close to the current German, Spanish, et-al service rifle as a Canadian collector/target shooter can get.

At the moment

A multimillionaire once told me...just because you can charge that much doesn't mean you should!

For that price I want it delivered In a Brinks truck

Like it or not. Them Germans can make some rather decent riggin' which is not available/affordable to some. Nevertheless, it's sweet - but too expensive for my pay grade.

My shiny new NR G36E will be delivered Monday (from a different source). I am very much looking forward to it. You only live once!

Germany has very strict export laws, so in a nut--shell? No, not for civilian sale. One would presumably have to look elsewhere and find a stash of semi-auto-only G36E rifles in a nation that will aĺlow them to be exported. The rifles could not be retrofitted from select-fire systems as that would make them prohibited 12(3) Converted Automatics. They would also have to be fitted with either factory G36E or MG36 barrels in order to have sufficient length for Non-Restricted status.

Good luck with all of that, which is why they are so few and far between, limited to the handful that entered the country many years ago. Hence the high collector value, based on rarity. Simple supply and demand...

This is why I sold my M10X, among other firearms to generate the necessary cash. Are they worth the asking price? Of course not! Unless you happen to be a Canadian collector and this happens to be your "unicorn" gun. Then maybe...
