For where I hunt, this is by far the most correct answer. Wouldn't trade my 44 for anythingBut… a 44 magnum carbine would be my choice over a 357.
Those cartridges are legal in Alberta if they are in a rifle .357 not legal to hunt with in sask/Alta and I'm sure other provinces too.
44mag
? No s hit? I honestly thought it was a no go, rifle or not. Those cartridges are legal in Alberta if they are in a rifle .

When they got rid of the minimum cartridge length to accommodate the WM and WSM cartridges, the vintage stuff like the 44/40 were once again legal, and the newer stuff like the 9mm and 357 were now made legal.? No s hit? I honestly thought it was a no go, rifle or not.
I gotta go back and read my Alta regulations again.
Thanks for the heads up.
I believe it was mid-late 90’s that Alberta removed the minimum cartridge length. Only requirement now is centerfire and .22 caliber minimum.? No s hit? I honestly thought it was a no go, rifle or not.
I gotta go back and read my Alta regulations again.
Thanks for the heads up.
