Ung 12 shotgun... fail?

The silver lining is that the RCMP lab won't be able to say "easily converted" if it won't reliably fire a round without stopping up... I have a pre order in and if they make it work, that's great. If not, I get refunded and spend it on something else. Win win for me...

The Hatsan Optima semi and pump-guns are Turkish and the value for $$ ratio is very high with those IMHO. So it's probably not fair to say that all Turkish shotguns are junk. The CNC machining on my Hatsan is top-notch and the fit/finish are impeccable. Function has beeen 100% with decent quality ammo, so what's not to like for $400 or less on sale? Similarly the Canik TP9SA is a high-quality Turkish clone of the Walther P99. So it is safe to say that the Turks can build good guns. The UNG just doesn't happen to be a good design. That is all that this video implies to me...

Agreed. You can't paint Turkish guns with the same brush just because this ONE gun sucks

Don't forget about the Alphaarms 15-SA....total junk, couldn't get more then 3 rounds to fire in succession with any type of ammo and had the charging handle sheer off and fly into the next shooting station, thankfully had the range to myself and it was through Wolverine so I was taken care of without issue. I won't be buying another Turkish shotgun anytime soon.

Think of UNG guns this way if they were made in North America they would most likely be out of business already . They are like what Lada cars are to the automotive market JUNK
But the kicker is out 10 shotguns 9 failures FTF,Bolt and cracked receivers and only 1 that worked that folks is a 90 % failure rate.pretty impressive in my books . While it is nice that TI has stated that they will cover the warranty at what is a reasonable amount of turn around time ?,will they give you a full refund for an obvious product that is poorly designed from the start if you wanted ?

Another UNG-12 vid. Seems fine to me. Can't wait for them to clear the RCMP.

Ps. Don't speak Turkish but they seem to address the other video in the last 5 minutes of this one.

so they test with primarily #4 soft loads and blanks..... they do a couple buckshot and they only test a handful of non magnium slugs after they start a new camera segment without showing the condition of the receivers. they shoot a couple slugs over a croney which shows them to be non magnum: sub 1300 FPS. Normally 3 inch magnums throw at 1700+ and even 2 3/4 throws at 1500 (they show pellets coming out at comparable speeds to box velocity so no the shorter barrel is throwing off the FPS dramatically). Once again stop filming without showing an inspection. At the end of the video they have 4 shotguns on the table to show you how they haven't broken, but they only tested two.....hmmmmm

also that second one is spotless when they take them apart (the first one is hard to tell there is no clear frame with the bolt fully back). I don't think i've ever run a shotgun (let alone blanks in any gun) were the components around the chamber, bolt or gas parts aren't coated black after 50 rounds.

Even angry dude had two shotguns that ran ok that didn't crack.

this "test" has zero continuity and as it is made by the manufactures who are getting called on their product breaking is more likely to be a spin damage control then an honest test.

to be fair, the angry birds only had 3 guns on the table at the end, one was just a chassis. besides, they are so happy during that vid that they cannot, in any way, be lying.
