Im really impressed.

A.) You nailed it.
B.) Ive never seen these before.

Doesn't look they've gotten much training. Also doesn't look like the guns have seen much use. Their slings look factory fresh, and like others have mentioned no use of front sight.[/QUOTE]

It looks like a photo op to me. The guys black coat isn't even dirty and he's sporting a nice scarf to. The sling still has wrinkles in it from being folded up.

I'll bet this pic isn't even in Iraq, but in a dirt pile staged for the photo in the U.S with a couple guys from the studio in the picture. Look at the pic nothing looks right, clean clothes, front sight down, shooting into the air, new rifles, crisp slings, come on.

I like the closest guy's nike shoes. And yes, this pic seems very fishy.

The Iraqis government ordered 10,000 VHS-2 from HS Precision back in 2014 and they were delivered to the Kurdish. It is also the only bullpup in the French Trial, along with HK 416 and Sig MCX.

Nobody mentioned the rifle sticking into the pile of sandbags. (Sorry, Kevin M. mentioned it. My bad.)
This pic appears in a recent New York Times article, showing a bullpup I don't recognize in the hands of pro-government militias.

I'm almost completely sure this isn't a French FAMAS. The carry handle, sights, muzzle, cheek rest and forearm are all wrong.

It seems to share some characteristics with the G36 in terms of aesthetics, and I know for a fact that the German military has supplied G36's to Kurdish forces in the region, but I digress.

Here's the image.
