S.I.R was awesome. Was a great place to shop, recall fondly getting their flyers and heading over to Ellice ave.

Early Universal Carbines were USGI clones made up primarily of USGI parts. Late ones like this one used a bunch of proprietary parts and are not known to be reliable or durable.

Was that separate-from or related-to the "spring issues" and "magazine issues"?....




The only 2 I've handled have been an Iver Johnson (sp?) and a National Postal, so limited first-hand experience here...
