Upcoming Carbine Courses in Alberta

Forgot to add, when they say rain, shine or snow they mean it! On the Saturday it rained all day, at times pouring and we went at it all day. I got home soggy and muddy and it was great! On the Sunday when it was not raining max poured water all over us during a drill to force us to concentrate on our targets while being distracted, once again came home soggy, once again it was great!

I was browsing through the site and noticed that they offered pistol courses as well as carbine. My question would be how much experience is recommended before taking any of the beginners courses? I'm fairly familiar with my 1911 and AR but haven't done much besides the usual range shooting. I just don't want to enter a course and hold people back or find that I'm way out of my element.

Hey Jack, the basic pistol (and Carbine) courses are designed for people with skills that range from the person who has never fired a gun and wants to learn, to folks that have had their firearms for a long time but have only done shooting on the line (basic target shooting).
It brings you back to the basics of shooting correctly and then builds on that platform.

Hope this helps with your decision.

Had the opportunity to do some shooting with Max this past weekend. Spent a couple days on the range together with max and some close friends, enjoying a relaxing few hundred rounds :D . I can vouch that he is most definitely good to go. His training experience is extensive to say the least and he has the real world experience to back it up.

This guy has trained under, with and for some of the top names in the US, one solid performer. Add to that he's also a fantastic guy, a rare individual. Looking forward to working together in the future.

Beware armedsask rolls with an entourage of fat chicks in the bed of his pickup to cheer him on. I'll hopefully be there too buddy with sour puss for the ladies ;)

The good folks who run the Brooks pistol and small bore rifle range have said that they will allow people attending Adler Tactical courses to camp overnight at the range, however, there are no facilities available to campers and all campers are responsible for their own cleanup. There are also several nice campgrounds around the Brooks area as well.

I was just going to e-mail and ask if I can camp! I'll most likely be bringing my trailer if I come. I have a silent generator if anyone else brings a trailer.
