I guess beggars can be choosers based on some of the comments here. I like the looks of it, hold open does not bother me as I can count to five ;). For all those who want the MPA to have the same controls as an AR.......kinda defeats the idea of it being NR in the end.
It is not the final version so improvements are likely to come.

Hi All,
Please keep in mind that the rifle in all of the pictures is not the Canadian version of the rifle. We are listening to what people are saying and will be taking these comments in to consideration when a final product is being developed. There is a cost involved in any changes that are to be made and we are trying to bring this rifle to market within a certain budget, this means that some things may be left off for future development. I will keep everyone posted as to our progress on this project, we have a long road ahead of us but we are hopeful that it will be a successful one.

Best regards,
Ryan Patterson

I like what I'm hearing. It's a great addition to the market as is. I don't think people realize how unlikely it is that their off-the-cuff cgn comments will actually translate into market data and then into design changes. Let's just get this baby to market.
Thanks for all your efforts Ryan and your ongoing industry development.

Thanks to Blue Line for doing the hard work of trying to bring yet another option for Canadian shooters...especially those with NR licenses.

...very interested in this gun.

My wallet is gonna hate me, but I'm in for one of these for sure! Can't wait for classification and pre-sale! Great job Blue Line!

Maybe an option is Galil type handle that allows lefties to charge over top?

It might be the only option, as I don't see this rifle being produced as ambidextrous or in a lefty variant. Personally I would prefer to have a Galil, as opposed to using a similar charging handle to one ;)

To those wanting AR fire controls, half the point of trying to get a special version of this gun into canada is so that it is not restricted like the AR, and even the most tenuous link to the AR makes it that much more likely the RCMP would make it restricted, at which point you might as well have an AR.

Direction the safety rotates should make no difference to classification. Aren't the safeties on both the Td and Jr pistol carbines AR safeties and rotate the same direction as AR safeties?

Interested.

Do you have more info on the barrel? If you could work with the manufacturer, a 1:7 twist chrome-lined MILSPEC barrel would be ideal

Also, a handy feature would be some type of extended changing handle - the one in the picture looks pretty small.

Cheers
John

I thought RCMP does it on the basis of looks. And it is clear to "any highly trained professional" that MPA is AR, just look at it *i am being sarcastic*
