Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

tick tick tick countdown is on!!! Every time i hear my email beep now i jump on it. Gotta be this week!!!

Got a thousand rounds of 9mm ammo just itching to take flight from my first 9mm handgun!

Don't forget - you have to wait for that other piece of paper to arrive that allows you to take it to the range legally. Yes, they could e-mail it by why would they do that???

Transfer # are Canada wide, but we know for certain period Ontario was 1/3 that is why I have the column 1/3 Ontario. Rate used is Ontario. Hope it helps clarify things. Many things are assumption, but at the end it is ball park estimate.

awesome thank you (everyone too) Ontario and the others are different BC is in the 5944### now as of this morning and now I understand cheers :) I appreciate it

Here is update with latest data, I updated the reference # mapping as there was strong evidence posted on when the June 2nd transfers were started by 3 people : 5894700,5896500,5895000.
This does not change the dates, only changes what transfer # range belong to which day.
Also updated the completion data, as you can see rate is dropped, but lets hope it will go back to normal.

Thanks very much Wolf, and everyone else for the info here. Looks like I'll be waiting quite a while for my 596###x and 598###x transfers, let alone he 600###x one.:(

so assuming it will take around a month to get through the June 2nd transfers, I really feel things are not speeding up appreciably. Sometimes living in Onterrible really sucks.

Well, how about this. Seeing that the CFO has had no problem with someone lending a restricted to someone else who is probably licenced and can store it properly in his residence, how about I lend you that revolver and give you my registration which I believe is still valid until the transfer goes through.

I’ve not heard of anyone requesting this but why not? I’m sure the CFO wouldn’t be happy doing that but it’s something to consider.

Honestly, I don;t even know how to go about requesting a long term loan of a restricted from the CFO. Can't say it's something I've ever attempted.

Neither have I but I’ve heard of it being done. Not with a pending transfer in waiting though and that’s what they would use to deny the request I would imagine.

It might be an interesting endeavour, lol

I did it about 8 years ago, I was selling a restricted before going on vacation for a month. The Ontario CFO had no issue letting me loan the buyer the gun until transfer went through. Just have to ask nicely.

Anyone know where they are at with private-private transfers? I know someone posted a June 20th number but not sure if that was a one off or not.

I posted earlier, however I have two ON - ON private transfers from June 16, that have not cleared yet. I too am interested in any other data regarding private vs business. It seems like the transfer numbers are from the same pool, so I am expecting the worst even though I have heard there is a separate queue.
