From what I have read with info from this thread private transfers are being completed around the same time frame as business. To answer your question I don’t think there is a thread for private transfers. For What it’s worth I’m waiting on a private transfer from June 13th.

I am waiting on 5966### Quebec private to ontario private. Transfer initiated July 12
You did nothing wrong, some people seem to think they have taken over ownership of this thread and only want information that to fit their situation. Post away. Only thing that is mostly business to private is Wolfs spreadsheet.
Ref # are canada wide, dates of initiation are private & business. Completion dates I only track business to private. Too complicated to track private as there is buyer call date that is very hard to track. anybody can copy the chart and start tracking it, this data belongs to you all, I am just putting it in one place.
I do use private to private initiation date to map ref #.

I think restricted firearms are only registered once, when they enter Canada and goes to first party ( Business or an Individual). It’s transferred afterwards from one person to another.

They have really turned up the speed. For most of June and July they were doing about 1400-1500 true numbers per week. (breakdown of Ontario meant about 500 actual transfers per week.) Meaning the total Ref number counter was going up by 1400 each week. Now its over 6000 per week for the past 2 weeks. meaning about 1500-2000 per week of real transfers. Hope it keeps up.

I wouldn't say so. It is rather one person was given a stack with more recent transfers (5913, 5914) and works on them while others are still doing 5909, 5910, etc. at their pace and same time answer phones, write emails and have meetings/trainings.

They got more people processing, so there are more stacks at a time now, speed definitely increased.
I personally believe that all firearms businesses should have power of transferring the restricted firearms to the individuals.Anyway, RCMP runs background checks every day on people who carry a restricted firearms license. Then why it is again required to go through provincial CFO for review, when transferring.

Not that agree or disagree but daily background checks will not reveal straw purchases . I’m thinking by doing it this way they see what u own and what u bought , guess they’re looking for the guys who bought 5 glock 17’s either in one shot or in a short period .
