I the buyer and the seller completed the online paperwork form and sent it over last week to start the transfer. If you guys cant get it started over the phone use the online form 5492 on the RCMP website and email it over after having both the seller and the buyer signatures.

I know this thread is for Ontario and I have a few I'm waiting for but just for comparison I started a transfer September 7 in which I was the seller(Ontario) to someone in BC. Ref 6026### and it cleared this past Friday Sept 30th. Must be nice!

I'm in Ontario and it only took 25 phone attemps to get through to obtain a reference number, the buyer took 78 tries before he got through so that part is done BUT now the wait begins for someone to advise me (the seller) that it is OK to ship. That should come automatically after the buyer has been approved. I have the money and I want to ship the firearm but the obstructionist policies of the liberals are causing a real headache!
I found the folks in Miramachi great to work with but there are not enough of them.

Yeah unfortunately because each province manages the approvals it adds an additional line of red tape to the process.
