That happened to me this summer. My letter was good to go even though the LGS had not been advised yet.

I got an email this morning to say it was good to go. Apparently someone was on vacation with no backfill. Oh well, have it now, all good.

Private transfer (NFLD - ONT) initiated the afternoon of June 25th, got approved the morning of August 17th

I've called into the Ontario CFO twice in the last week and managed to sweet-talk my way into getting two transfers approved over the phone. The first was a June 26th transfer approved August 11th, and a July 20th transfer approved today. I just called, asked them how the transfer was going, they asked me for the reference number and put me on hold, and then a couple minutes later say they've approved it and sent out the paperwork.

Your mileage may vary but it can't hurt trying if you're impatient like I am. Just be polite and positive and they seem to respond well.


EDIT: I was a little hesitant to post this because I'm not sure if the same people processing the transfers are the ones answering the phones. Lets not give the Ontario CFO the hug of death

Gee must be nice. When I called the beginning of August to check on some transfers I thought maybe they'd do this. I was just told they were assigned and should be done "soon". I hope my June 30th is done this week.
