Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

SFRC Update, we just had more start coming in so they are working today. The RCMP system has been up and down the last 24 hours so that may have delayed transfers getting approved.

June 28th start, Nov 19th approval, Business to Private 5954###

Oh snap, that potentially means mine is done... just checked email, no dice. I guess I'll keep checking until about 4 today and following if I don't get it.

Edit: Does anyone know if IWS updates on weekends or only when the CFP is actually working?

Nice to see some approvals rolling in after a few slow days.

Days weren't slow per say, for some reason the weekend crew seems to ram ahead full steam on B2P and then during the week they address B2P that were missed and P2P

Remember they aren't always in exact order. I think each person is given a block of reference numbers to do so they often end up out of order. The highest approved reference is always just an estimate of where they are.

Many keep referring to the IWS, when I log in and look at pending transactions, there is nothing there, in fact the history there is from more than a decade ago. Where exactly are you seeing the pending transactions?

Go through to apply for an ATT. It will ask you to select what guns you want on the ATT, and will show you everything registered to you.

You go through the process of requesting an ATT. After a couple of steps you will reach the point where you can add the firearms to include in the ATT, and a list of firearms registered to you will be shown. In some cases people are seeing the new firearm in that list without having received the approval email

Yes I'm aware, but I'm also hopefully. Given that your post of 5954### is in the morning I'm wishful that I am part of that block as I am an early on in that particular sequence. Although it'd be real helpful to know that 5th digit.

Can we get the digit after 5954? I'm 59542 no approval yet

LOL, are you me? Either that 5954 number didn't make it to us or we're in a stack with a slow person.

Although, to be fair, 5954000 (assuming all zeroes) makes it about 1400 above Friday's number, which is about the max I've seen that the CFO can run through in a day... maybe we'll get ours today.

You have to take into account that the other provinces already approved some of those transfers. So it should be a lot less than 1400. Hopefully they will catch up and approve June 28th today!!!

1400 nominal. The actual proportion the CFO is processing at isn't all that relevant because the actual proportion cancels out when you calculate time remaining.

Yeah I find it interesting when they calculate how many transfers are being completed because couldn’t some/majority be from other provinces.

Ie.) 5000 to 6000 were completed today, but 600 of those were from Alberta/BC etc, meaning Ontario really only did 400 transfers?
