Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Not sure what’s going on at CFOON but there seems to be a few transfers lagging behind? Majority is done, which I presume by contractors. The rest are just taking their sweet time.
 
They must have a few piles of missed ones. I'm still waiting one in the 60439xx area. I'm told it's done the initial review, but went to the registrar office for final review?

Email the cfo, and put your transfer # in the subject so it’s easy for them to see it’s well overdue..
That’s what I did and surprisingly they replied back in about 30mins with the completed transfer.

I got the same thing when I called a few weeks prior…”in for final review “

My last handgun transfer is in that situation. Cleared initial review at ONT CFO but kicked to CFP registry for final review, on account of questions related to firearm attributes. I spoke with CFP in Miramichi and they have a bunch of these to go through. They gave no idea of how long it would take but they're working through it.

I emailed CFO last week, /kam replied saying it is with CFO and they are processing up to Oct 20th. Not sure if my last transfer would go through as the store I bought from initiated the transfer the next day on Oct 21st. I’ll wait a bit longer and see. I’d like to know sooner than later and get my money back if transfer doesn’t go through.
