UPDATE: Rossi Ranch Hand Mares Leg

Lets not forget the 'firefly' series where the second in command carried one for most of the series. Thats kind of a western :)

Wasn't Zoe's sidearm a Rossi 92?

Steve Mcqueen's "Wanted" is the bench mark
[humor]In the Mall Ninja tradition, should I order Wanted Dead or Alive: The Complete Series on DVD so I can learn how to property operate the firearm without actually touching one.[/humor]

I am not sure about anything surving too long cycling back and forth with the bolt though Driller.

Those peep sights mount on a bridge over the rear of the action. A red dot could mount the same way maybe. Then it wouldnt be flopping around all over the place.

Or maybe you could knock the rear sight out and mount a Dr. Optic in there.

You could even just use a universal barrel mount and a bit of inletting on the forend to allow for it to sit up tight against the front edge of the receiver. If you really wanted to get serious you could glass bed it all together.

But if you wanted to be really badass, you could put an AK/SKS side rail on the receiver and mount some crazy russian red dot!

Then you could swap it out for a POSP scope for long range shots, or night vision even!

(Hehe)

lol I dont think I would do that, I doubt I would ever do anything to change this rifle other than remove the safety.

I like it the ol west style lol.

I think Steve McQueen is rolling over in his grave....

I agree wholeheartedly; this thread is starting to resemble another 1960's TV show " Lost in Space" and "StarTrek"
Maybe you can supply them with phasars Mr. Wanstall???
Oh ;and the aliens are prospecting grizzly bears who want to mind melt with Spock.

Doc

How you farin with yours???

lol dont have it yet! got 20-30 more days to wait...

but I have no doubt they are good rifles from all of what I have read on the internet.

this waiting is slowly killing me...

that laser gun might be fun for ant hills or something though ... :p

Hey folks,
Well, after bringing home a whole shwack of leather I'm ready to start once again on some belts. I will keep you all posted on how the first one is coming as well as the revised pricing. As well, I am working on a quick-draw rig similar to what McQueen used. Few details to work out with those yet but, as before, I'll keep you posted:)
Cheers,
spacesaver
