I have nothing whatsoever to do with this match.
I just copied and pasted it here from Urban Tactical's page.

I figured there's a bunch of guys in this section of the forum who might be interested.

Here's a link to the sign up page;

Hello Everyone and thank you for your interest in the Multi Gun Challenge. It's true.. we've intentionally kept the details under wraps. We have some pretty exciting surprises lined up for this match and we don't want to ruin any of the fun or let anything leak that will take away from the excitement. An email welcome package does go out to each competitor with some additional information about the challenge. There is also a full briefing on the day while each squad waits in the holding area. We promise.. you'll be more than ready before it's time to compete.
We don't want to say too much, but this is a scenario based tactical multi gun match, packed full of exciting challenges and a great prize pack!
Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Hope to see you there.

Regards
- The Gunslingers

Is the Urban Tactical indoor range heated nicely?

(This can differ tremendously from one range to another.)

Urban tactical is indeed an indoor range and the heating is great, nice modern, comfortable place to shoot with good people running the place.
I hate the cold but am comfortable shooting in a hoodie or light jacket but most my friends shoot in a shirt or t-shirt.

Which means light sweater and adjust the belt to be a bit tighter (usually, for rifle shooting I use a 2" duty belt as it likes my mag pouches better than the 1.5" velcro belts). Thanks for the heads up.

Hot chicks? Where? Where? :sok2 (now this will land me a beating from Mrs. TRaTSeRiF )

@Gunslingers - Thanks for the heads up. Some venues allowed slinging the rifle to move it between ranges, but then I realized that all those matches were for holster-certified people and even then it was more practical to just take everything over to the next stage.

I signed up for the course/competition a couple of weeks ago.

You do NOT need holster qualification, but if you are holster qualified (it will be entirely up to the Gunslingers guys to confirm/accept your qualification), you CAN holster on this course, but you're not required to.

For those who aren't qualified, you CANNOT use a holster. From what I understand is the pistol will be stationed on a table on the course, you pick it up and shoot, then move to the second gun (carbine), put the pistol down and pick up the carbine.

Also, there will be ONE shooter only on the range at a time. Other shooters will be stationed in a holding area awaiting their turn to shoot (again, from what I understand there will be refreshments while you wait). No one gets to see the course of fire until it's your turn to shoot. Full briefing will be given to all shooters in the holding area, and then again on the range before you shoot.

FYI, I shoot at UT a couple of times every week (sometimes more). All the Gunslingers and UT staff are great guys/gals.

Looking forward to seeing some of you there! I'll be asking permission to shoot some video for my youtube channel (Battle Beaver), and I'll of course clear this with Gunslingers AND the shooters, I'll absolutely respect your desire NOT to be on camera if you so choose.

Can't wait!

Scott

So is this a course or a competition?

I like the refreshments idea though.
Hope that catches on at other matches.
I for one would love a refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail while I wait for my turn to shoot.

It's a competition, see first post for prizes for top 5 shooters.

Remember, what I posted regarding the competition is from what I heard. Pretty sure there will be refreshments provided, but don't take my word on it. There is a vending machine at the range though where you can get drinks and snacks if refreshments aren't provided.

You should totally bug Craig about those refreshments!... The BBQ idea is soo last year. :D

Sounds interesting, especially to someone like me who still needs a lot of work on his gamesmanship  You coming out as well?

I already committed to shooting and ROing Ajax that day and can't back out. They already lost their other two ROs so I am the only official left as per the calendar. Enjoy.

Thanks. Yeah, can't back out on commitments, especially when they're for the good of the game. Enjoy Ajax.. Can't wait to do the same starting next year.. The only problem is I'll have to take that course in Spanish... The instructor will probably get sick of my "queeeeeee?" :D
