URGENT - Safety issue - CCI Standard Velocity 22 LR Ammo

It sucks that you folks had damage to your equipment and the hassle of dealing with the issue, but I am glad you were not hurt and you at least got some compensation for it.

I still cant get the 2 shooters that had their firearms damaged in the original posts to get off their a$$ and file a claim with CCi...

You would think that with the issues associated with certain lot numbers, CCI would have a recall by now, especially with the litigious mentality south of the border. With their greater population of shooters, there must be a higher number of similar experiences...

Without having someone taking high-frame-rate video of the detonation, the OP can't know whether it was faulty ammo or a not-fully-chambered cartridge. Even if it was faulty ammo - I doubt very much that there would have been that much damage (no, I'm not a gunsmith, nor do I play one on TV). As others have commented, that looks like it fired when the action wasn't quite closed.
