US hunter tortured ducks in Canada

While not long enough .. at least he is banned from hunting in all of Canada. When a Canadian is charged with a violation of the Wildlife act and has his hunting license revoked ... it's only for the Province he is in .. he can simply go to another Province and hunt (with proper permits of course ...).

I wonder if the Crown was aware of this little tid bit and informed the Judge prior to sentencing?

Well, I'm going to do my part and spread this story on all the various gun and hunting forums I belong to. Hopefully we can ruin this asshat's business.
 
A bad man for sure. I have noticed since he has come into the news that Cabelas has dropped all of his products. That has to cost some. I hunt alot and shoot about 35 ducks and geese a fall. It really bothers me that these animals even have the opportunity to enjoy such great hunting. I would kill to hunt where this guy has.

My Dad taught me to have respect for the wildlife I took. No real hunter could or should do otherwise. This clown is a travesty and should not be allowed into Canada again.

This is not the case when Migratory birds are involved, such as it was the case with Foiles. You won't be hunting anywhere in Canada, as charges are handed out by Environment Canada, I believe.
AFAIK, the same holds true being charged by the USFWS. Canada and the US have a reciprocity agreement. They also have this agreement with speeding tickets.........ask me how I know. :D
 
He already knows enough not to show his face in Saskatchewan anymore. The case against this douchebag has been building for a long time. A lot of folks out west already had a pretty good idea about what he was up to. At least he wasn't baiting park birds with bread up here and shooting them with a pellet gun to get the bands and collars.
 
That is just messed up. He should get a life sentence along with not being allowed to possess guns/ not allowed to hunt for a life time. People like him give hunting a bad name.

Of course crime pays, that's nothing new.

Judges give serial killers and other hardcore criminals sentences which forbid them or others from writing a book about their escapades..............wonder why that is ?
 
This wildlife criminal should spend a few years in jail. I cannot accept the fact that someone could be so cruel to an animal in distress. All of his equipment and fines should be given to the Crown and placed towards wildlife.
