US M14 Parts Kits

Guys,

Just got a heavy barrel but now I am scared. I'm new to the M14 / M1A1. Really want to make a sniper repo out of this. Should I just buy a Norinco and send it all to a good gunsmith to sort me out? Any other options / recommendations? now I need a period scope, the mounts seem a bit easier to find. Well I guess another adventure begins....

Called in, dealt with Evan who was amazingly chipper, and got in for a Heavy Kit myself. Damn limits on the cards; had to split the cost across 2 of them. No way I could have afforded 2 kits that's for sure. Hope everyone is happy with their kits!

STOP PRESS We will not be shipping any M14 parts kits before next Wed due to staff shortages because of the Shot Show. Then we will have a blitz on them. thanks for your understanding. :)

Wahoo!! Was gonna try and include it with one of the delta chasis but I had some other unforseen expenses. Next time! Thank you wolverine!!
Just as a side note both the listings say heavy barrel. Just thought I would let you know!

I had a heavy kit, panicked over costs and ordered a regular kit and now regret it. But I ave a kit so I'm happy :)

Unless the quality of the parts is significantly better, I think the standard barrel offers a better value overall unless you're looking to build a bench rifle - and then I'd go with a bolt action platform. It depends on the manufacturer of the barrels and their condition as well.

Yeah no kidding....I considered getting two and parting one out but...cooler heads prevailed. Hopefully as many people can get their hands on these as possible. A rare and affordable opportunity!

I decided to pull the trigger on one of the standard kits. I have an order confirmation number but did not receive an email confirmation, so I hope the order went through? Anyway, I hope the parts are good and I get the stripper clip guide. I have a spare heavy Douglas barrel that I will use for a build with these parts, and depending on the condition of the standard barrel I get with this kit, it will probably be up for sale.

Norcs already come with the standard barrel though ;)
