US made Tavor price announced

Maybe this won't make it across the border after what happened today..

What you don't hear ever on the controlled media is that Everyday.....people dissuade muggers and home invaders by being armed. That NEVER makes the news....only the blood does. And they wonder why no one follows MSM bunk anymore...

That's an interesting theory, but the primary purpose of manufacturing the majority of the Tavor in the US is to get around any restrictions on importing foreign-manufactured firearms (aka: HK, etc.) Someone else more familiar with the specifics can comment further.

What makes you think they're interesting in US civilian Tavor sales? If there's money to be made in US civilian Tavor sales then they would've done it years ago.

Civilian sales is peanuts compared to IDF sales.

Nice to see the Tavors being brought in for the price they are more closely worth for a change. I think with Irunguns at the helm I might pick one of these up after New Years.

I think we all have overlooked an important fact, the likelihood of the RCMP just assigning this an FRT number without examination is really slim to none!!! Then consider how long the RCMP take getting back to the importer, case & point the SAPR that The Shooting Edge submitted & I remember how difficult it was to obtain the SCAR when production started in the US - FN was in a much stronger position to mass produce & couldn't meet demand. For those interested I had a chance to meet with the IWI rep a week ago from Israel, who mentioned a new trigger weighing in roughly at 2.5kg+ & asked about a chance of slightly thicker profile barrel! Would require talking to the engineers and seeing if it could be justified in doing a production change, figuring in costs etc etc.

Agreed but the reality is that nobody cares about that aspect, and as you said main stream media has an agenda when it comes to reporting stories, if you have any doubt just read my signature line!!!!

IWI is not setting up in the U.S. to sell to the IDF... They're setting up for U.S. sales.

I said it before and I'll say it again ( same as a lot of my fellow IDF Tavor owners). I rather have a genuine IDF Tavor Israel made vs civilian US version but for others to have a cheaper option (if FRT approval is possible) is also great.

IDF made Tavors will not loose their value but might even gain it more.

Lots of good things coming. The Canadian Firearms Community is used to waiting 8-15 months for 'Something New' to show up...so if IRUN can bring something in 2-4 months after the announce it... I say AWSOME!!!

No T97 sale here. Tavor all the way!!

There's no reason to treat existing vendors like crap or pretend everything has been a gouge all along suddenly revealed.

If you feel strongly about something, talk with your wallet. The market will decide.

+1 Retailers and vendors are also at the mercy of the Distributors that create Monopolies and force everyone to pay these high prices.

Maybe we can have a few more IRUN type of enterprises.....so we can say bye bye to KORTH and R. Nicholls. Who needs guys that set up a system of control to monopolize the flow of goods solely for their profit and not the betterment of the Sport or Industry
