So people dont believe the Holocaust happened because of the sheer size of it? The logistics needed? Seriously?? The capability of the governments is staggering once they decide to do something. Look at the sheer size of the Allied landing at D-day, look at the Russians relocating entire factories and towns across the mountains. Walk the Hoover dam. If i told you the statistics of the amount of concrete needed to build it you'd tell me its impossible too.

Its doable....just becuase your feeble mind cant imagine the logistics behind something doesnt mean it didnt happen.

Besides, would you feel better if it wasnt 6 million but two? Would it be ok then? FFS!!

The first formed was the 500th in 1943 and was used in the failed mission to capture Tito in Yugoslavia. Tito escaped and 800 out of 1,000 SS were killed or wounded by partisans. The survivors only fought as part of a battlegroup afterwards in Lithuania nowhere near Moscow. The 600th was formed and used in the German takeover of Miklos Horthy's Hungary when they learned Horthy had been secretly negotiating surrender to the Soviets. Afterwards two companies of the 600th were attached to Skorzeny's unit for the Ardennes offensive. The 500th SS paras were formed from men who were charged with violating military law and the SS high command had mandated that only 50% of the members could be under punishment, the rest had to be volunteers. In my opinion anyone who "takes no side" in WW2 is either ignorant of the facts or a Nazi/Japanese apologist. My 2 cents.

Excuse me but the old man I was talking about never jumped out of an airplane. The unit he was in was Paratroop by name only. He must have been part of aeveral units.From wbat i was told The man was involved in the invasion of Poland, didnt see France but was involves in the Eastern invasion and wounded near Moscow. He served with antiaircraft artillery for the rest of the war with the Luftwaffe until finally being reformed aa infantry to defend Berlin. Imagine being one of 35,000 holding pit agaibst the entire Red Army.... i wouldnt like thise odds. Don't dismiss the story of someone simply because they were on a different side than you commonly know. In the Napoleonic war people caught with the French and the British, Prussians etc... enough years have passed that sides no longer matter. The stories and momories of all have merit food or bad and should be told and learned lest we be doomed to repeat their histories.

The man I met st the hospital was 100% mentally clear he just had a failing body. He was every bit a real person. I habe met many WW2 veterans. Another was a artillery man that served in Italy in the same Canadian army as my grandfather before my grandfather's unit was transferred to see action in Holland. Of course he couldn't remember at that point but I ensured he got the best treatment I could provide for him.
I habe absolutely pulled rank for veterans that landed on Juno to get them beds. I took a hospital administrator to task after theybwere planning to leave the men in the hallway overnight. I told her the man who landed on Juno had paid more "taxes" then anyone in the hospital and she better get him a comfortable bed in the admitted ward right away or if be calling the news and putting her to shame... it happened fast after that.


WW2 was murder on a grand scale... Allies Nazi's Bolshevik Imperial Japanese and China etc... killed thousands all across the board. I question the total story written by the victors alone which paint the losers as absolute tyranny and the victors as ritcheous5without fault. I again question anyone who refuses to revisit history for additional information as alternative views or additional information to complete the story with additional chapters. If this makes you sick go ahead and be sick. I for one do not take the spoon fed history I was solely fed by the history channel as the absolute truth in history.
 
What bugs me is this changing of the narrative. Our Canadian War Memorial became the holocaust museum. Our soldiers were there fighting and dying for their country. Only near the very end was anyone even aware of the atrocities going on in Occupied Europe.

To me we should remember our soldiers and their Sacrifice with a Canadian War Memorial. If someone wants to memorialize the holocaust they do it somewhere else and that they do not take away from what our Veterans did in order to do so.
