Used batteries and stack of pennies as shotgun slugs ?

My roomie was watching the latest Resident Evil movie the other night, I only remember that because the chick was using a stack of coins to load her shells. She seemed to wind up blowing off a lot of rounds by the end, made me think it would've been cheaper just to buy a box of shells...
I only saw the first two, but I'm not sure how many stores there were left to buy shells in, after the events that transpired.

When I was a kid I always wanted to make darts out of dowels and load them in from the muzzle (firing a blank of course) and all of us have seen the exotic shotshells that shoot bolo's and "dragonfire" and all that crap.
Just google exotic shotgun shells and a tonne of crap pops up.

A healthy interest in ballistics is what got us into firearms in the first place, isn't it?

That made me chuckle after a long ####ty day.
Ive seen this putting money in the shotgun shell thing in the last resident evil movie. I lookin really cool but the coin spread out everywhere and owned alot of zombies. Maybe you should make a couple of these shells and save them for when the zombies attack. Personelly i wont be trying this money in the shell thing before i blow up my barrel or even worse blow me up.

For batteries, go with a CR2 - same dia as a AA; 1/2 the length. Drop a single dime in first as a wad and let her fly. Aren't those Beretta Extremas supposed to fire anything? c'mon any takers??
coins... I knew an old farmer who used to do something similar to this for shooting weasels under the chicken coop... he used the punch out slugs from electrical boxes and used either a 10 or an 8 Ga (I dont remember which) WICKED looking pattern at 10'

There are a few vids on you tube where the stuff a shot gun brrel with mud dirt and shot it, and another where two different shot gage shells are put in a shot gun, andshot, mind you these are brand new shot guns, and no shot dun was damaged nor the shooter, but as they say, don't try this at home, we're the dumb ones who should be allowed to do this, not you

Really though Im surprised at the people that have never actually heard about the shooting of coins from a shotgun. Hell even Box of Truth did a test on it.

I think those batteries would be a bad idea all around, don't be stupid.
But coil up some guitar string in a shottie shell and carefully re-crimp and seal with some melted wax, try that on for size, we all will start watching the news for your 15 minutes of shame !
