What do you do with the oilers and pouches that come with your sks and mosin nagants?

My m91/30 came with a cloth like envelope that is secured with a cloth string. I store the tool kit it came with there. Is that suppose to be the oiler pouch?

My sks ammo pouch I put soft cloth inside and use as a sunglasses case.

I haven't figured out uses for the mosin or other sks ammo pouches and oilers. Are the ammo pouches suppose to strap on to the sling? Do the oilers come with their own pouch? My sks oiler did but my mosin did not.

What other alternet uses have you found for these things?

Hey now whoa whoa whoa whoa......whoa
Dont drag dodge into this it nows dodges fault they make a superior truck i got 2 words hemi, cummins

bolting a good engine to a s**ty drivetrain doesnt make a good truck :p As for cleaning, no need to go brand or type specific. Waste of time. Just fill the chambers about 1/4 full of any brakleen, carb cleaner, air intake cleaner etc. and shake it really well for a minute, drain the vile carcinogenic sludge, refill, repeat until clean. You will get them sparkly clean inside like this.

Here's mine, took the ammo pouch for the sks and cut a block of clear pine to fit snuggly inside. Drilled holes that just fit a 44mag cartridge to carry with my 44 mag riffle. Works great, hopefully it softens up as it gets use. (The pouch I mean, the pine is as soft as it will get).

Nope... I find some of the stuff you get @ NAPA and such leave residue behind... One such that i have had issues with was GUNK.. But for oilers yeah.. Oh and it's usually cheaper @ the dealer.... Well where I live it is....

Lol I think russian oilers can stand up to american breakcleaners. hahah
The plastic black coloured oiler from my sks could be a small windex container for my days out on the bush shooting with milsurp ammo.
