USP Compact - first impressions?

In terms of reliability I think they are second to none. For example, during its testing phase, the Mark 23 demonstrated over 6000 mean rounds between stoppages.
:) So did Colt in the year 1911 , it passed the military 6000 round test and became the standard military sidearm . Hence the name 1911 , i guess things haven't changed much in 100 years :D

6000 is a big number...but arent Sig and Beretta around 15,000 and 17,500 respectably?

We are not talking about longevity/breakages here. The test mentioned by Uncle Walther involved shooting 6,000 rounds without any cleaning or lubrication and without having any FTF's, FTE's, etc.

An average USP/MK23 would last well over 100,000 rounds before any major parts need replacement.

MRBS (mean rounds between stoppages) simply means any jams or malfunctions (if there are any) have to be cleared within a minute...

I just got my H&K usp full size , and I love it . I find even with my small hand it handles very nice . But I do like the look of the threaded barrel . I wonder what it would cost for one . Joe
