Curious question about the shotguns. Is there any difference (other than paint job) between the Marine and Desert version?

Ermm.. checked the site, still shows as "out of stock".

Currently backordered, if you would like to place an order please contact sales@wolverinesupplies.com for full details.

We are now receiving regular monthly shipments so we expect waiting time for back orders to be in the order of 4-8 weeks. The shipment that has just arrived contains the first coloured models, all of these are spoken for. Our plan is to be able to offer all models including coloured models from stock by mid summer. The laser flashlight units should be ready for shipping next month (May).

The thread I posted yesterday was deleted, so here I go again. I received my UTS yesterday and here are my observations;

1- The quality of materials, machining and finish is acceptable. However, from my perspective, the 870 is superior in that manner. For the price, I would have expect better quality overall.
2- The assembly of the shotgun is solid. There are no loose parts. During my initial inspection, I noticed one allen screw not fully tighten. No big deal, but I will keep a close look at this issue due to the important vibrations.
3- I went to the range with 30 rounds and noticed no problems. I fired the first 15 rounds making sure I was fully cycling the action in order to avoid FTF or FTE. It worked flawlessly. The 15 remaining rounds were fired at full speed and again, no problem. I felt an increase resistance at one occasion when bringing the action backward. The shotgun design really helps mitigate the muzzle climb and this is a very interesting feature. Loading from the top is also a significant advantage. Overall, very fun to shoot.
4- From this experience, the shotgun seems reliable and I don't expect problems in the long term. The future will tell.

Thank you for the review.

Any update for those of us that were on the April order? I had a colored model, would mine be in that first colored shipment or are those still the march orders?

She should be there if you were in for the first shipment.

I'm not 100% what order I'm in. I ordered it end of February or the first week in march and was told that I was with the April order so we'll see I guess.

Could you recommend a good sight for this shotty? Me and optics don't get along so I need my hand held when picking out one :HR:. The gun itself is already breaking my budget so I want to keep it in the $500 range but if I have to I can push it a little bit. I'd like an eotech but I honestly don't know what the difference is between models, they all look the same to me.

EOTech sights kinda work like this:

EXPS 2 are regular vision only sights.

EXPS 3 will work with NVGs

the -0 or -2 or -4 denotes a reticle type. -0 is a 65moa ring with a 1 moa central dot, -2 is a reticle with a ring and a central dot and a lower dot for gauging a second distance (could work for closer or longer range shots). -1 uses just a central dot with no ring. -4 is like -2 but with 4 dots for different ranges. For a rail mount you want to make sure to get the EXPS not XPS which does not have a rail mount built in.

The XPS2 Zombie Stopper is kinda cool with a biohazard symbol instead of the ring for the reticle and it's a dark green instead of black.

The other models are older and use AA batteries or 2x CR123A batteries instead of 1.

Generally, I'd say pick the one that fits your budget. You can pay an extra $100.00 to get one that is NVG compatible, but do you really think you're going to be shooting with NVGs (I'm pretty sure shooting at night will get you in trouble in Canada, unless you own a lot of property)

Thanks a lot for the explaination, I think I have a decent handle on it now. The zombie one sounds like it'd fit the gun well but I'm worried the reticle may obstruct to much vision.

Gentlemen, take a bow. Second day of firing this beast, roughly 350 rounds of everything from low noise/low recoil, regular and target shot, and a heaping of slugs, and wow. Had to run a snake through it every hundred and half and so, but this thing ate everything. I really like how you can keep this firearm on point and still load it, not needing to turn it upside down like another brand. No problems whatsoever, not a single misfire, double eject, nothing! With the low recoil rounds the wifey loves it too, (good thing as she had no idea I was buying this). Now I must rest and allow for the swelling in my shoulder to subside from all the slugs put through this. (Those were the most impressive, sounded like a cannon going off). Only one word now comes to mind when I think of this firearm and that’s wheeeeee!

Thank you for taking the time to write your report, so often we only get to read comments here when things go wrong. UTIS have worked hard at improving their product and I think it shows. There are still a few little tweaks to come. Once again thank you.

Here is a quick youtube vid of mine. I find it cycles nearly as easy as my 870 just make sure to do it with some authority this was with a super full choke and barrel extension. This is by far one of the best shotguns I have used... 200+ rounds and counting.

Awesome.....
Just picked mine up at the post office last night - what a freaking kewl gun; I really like the design. Off to the range tomorrow.
Really like the iron sites that I picked up with it; but will definitely be looking for some shottie optics down the road.
