Hello all,
So I just picked up a an Uzkon Trap semi-auto 12g shotgun the other day, and noticed something strange. While I am fully aware this isn't a firearm known for it's quality, I am wondering if it is even safe to fire like this. The barrel moves up and down while in the receiver, and will move the bolt along with it. Now this movement is only half a centimeter, I am wondering if it would cause me any troubles. The magazine nut that hold the fore-end on is screwed on nice an tight, but there is still movement. I noticed on the magazine tube there are threads right above where the barrel rests on the tube, and the top of the barrel sleeve even has little dimples, looking like something is suppose to thread on there. I know most semi-autos don't have a barrel nut, and just use the magazine nut to hold the barrel in place, but this one looks like it is suppose to. Maybe it's missing a part, seeing if there were a barrel nut the barrel wouldn't move? Maybe it's just poor tolerances and some play is there? Either way, the bolt still locks into the barrel, it's just that it moves... Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, and I can provide pictures if need be. Thanks!
