I thought I would post these pics as many have asked about it and V-Bulls website is down. Ed Begg was kind enough to put one of the conversions up on the prize table at the BCRA's Tactical rifle championship in June. Well, here it is!

Hello To All,

Thanks Mike for posting pics of my DBM.
To answer a few questions , The cost per unit is $495.00 CAD +tax+shipping (includes Action bolts,2 lock out pins, 2 Allen keys,2 sets of pivot pin screws, a Brass locating pin, and a AICS Magazine) the Rem 700 SA DBM requires that the stock be inletted-as the AICS Magazine is a semi staggered affair and is fairly wide as well as the front to back length is deeper then the regular BDL Inlet (I offer this service -Cut on a CNC =$90.00).The Rem 700 LA kit (Pictured-SA is identical) is a direct drop in NO INLETTING Required I have installed these kits in every popular style of stocks for the Rem 700 including LTR .The VBull kit can be disassembled for cleaning/maintenance or painting with out any tools other then the supplied allen keys and locating pin , NO punch ,hammer or bench required - As a side note Remington arms company has chosen VBull Bottom metal to be installed in the M24 .338 lapua SWS .Please let me know if you have any other questions

Regards

Hello Joe,

The silver Heads you refer to are the lock out pins- What is a lock out pin? a lock out pin is A device screwed into the side of the magazine well that prevents the unintentional dislodgement of the magazine, while moving over rough terrain or when ever you want to ensure your magazine will not come out when you least expect it to . - The trigger guard and the Magazine release are drilled and taped to accept the pin being screwed into them, once the pin is screwed in the latch can not be operated/manipulated and the magazine can not be removed . The reason you see two silver heads is that the rear "silver head " is where you would store the lock out pin when not employed OR you can screw the pin into the bottom of the latch and have an extra long mag release the reason you have 2 is JUST IN CASE loose one - the locating pin is to help in disassembly/assembly of the latch , the two Allen keys help unscrew the the pivot pin screws, the pivot pin screws lock in the pivot pin through the latch securing both to the Bottom metal the reason there is an extra set is JUST IN CASE you manage to loose one -or two I hope this has answered your questions Joe if not please fire off another one and I will try to answer that one as well . The Bottom metal is Made out 7075-T6 Aluminum (same as a AR 15 lower or upper)

I was wondering how Remington was going to get that big case to feed in the 700! :canadaFlag:

Will the clip feed the 300 Ultra (338 Edge actually)?
What is the max overall (loadable) length?

Nice work!

There is a sample rifle with the mag kit installed at hunters in surrey for those in the lower mainland who would like to see it first hand, I have to say it is much more impressive in person!
