I guess with the 18.5 a Regular pistol grip is g2g. Birds head thought was more for {making} overall length in shorter barrel SG's. I guess bcuz it's semi, it has to be 18.5 for NR..just realized. Nice set up though!

Any benefit to this over the R12?

Lighter, less forward heavy, don't have a spring tube assembly inside the stock and they can run 2 3/4" Magnum shells without battering the action.
