You were right 20k came quick.Sterlings???
And while I agree with you on the Valmets not being prohibited (they even have a note in the FRT about their use with the natives up north) but in a decade they will be worth $20k, mark my words.
Mostly Chinese cookers there, lol. - dannever been to Africa lol ...
There have been a couple in the last 8 months in the EE for somewhere to the tune of 5K...All those guys saying about how stupid it was to spend big green on a Valmet 6-7 years ago...if you had the coin to spare, not so stupid now is it.
Why so much? Did they fall into some sort of Liberal lunacy void and they forgot to include them with the other 2500 models that make things move in their underpants? There have been a couple in the last 8 months in the EE for somewhere to the tune of 5K...
223 and 308.....
Well, aren't you in for a surprise... (it is)Why so much? Did they fall into some sort of Liberal lunacy void and they forgot to include them with the other 2500 models that make things move in their underpants?
Is the Valmet in .308 Non-restricted still?
It's just moronic stupidity, piled on top of ignorance and performative virtue signalling at this point is it not!? I'll give them nothing.Well, aren't you in for a surprise... (it is)
So, AR platform - prohibited. AK - non-restricted(insert joke about Canada slipping into communism)

[emphasis mine]64 The firearm of the design commonly known as the AK-47 rifle, and any variant or modified version of it except for the Valmet Hunter, the Valmet Hunter Auto and the Valmet M78 rifles ...
M'kaaaay...so next question. Why aren't we swimming in Valmets like we are SKS's? The Canadian market should be flooded with these things. I'd love a .308 battle rifle...for Moose.Regulations Prescribing Certain Firearms and Other Weapons, Components and Parts of Weapons, Accessories, Cartridge Magazines, Ammunition and Projectiles as Prohibited or Restricted, SOR/98-462:
[emphasis mine]
They may not have been able to get the Valmet using their OIC abuse, with it specifically listed the way it is
Because they are now 5k and up? And mags are expensive too?M'kaaaay...so next question. Why aren't we swimming in Valmets like we are SKS's? The Canadian market should be flooded with these things. I'd love a .308 battle rifle...for Moose.![]()

Liberal gun policy is likely driven by Hollywood movies and firearms special effects... When a guy gets shot with an AR, he's flung back eight feet... That's why they think ARs are so "powerful". You can't hunt deer with an AR because it'll destroy the meat...Well, aren't you in for a surprise... (it is)

If someone were to tool up, they'd sell.As others have pointed out, production numbers were never as high and prices were never anywhere close to being as low as the SKS.
The logic is that their knowledge comes from movies, standard rounds through a suppressor don’t sound like what most people thinkLiberal gun policy is likely driven by Hollywood movies and firearms special effects... Same thing with suppressors/moderators. In Europe, they're considered PPE. In Hollywierd, these are used by assassins and gangsters. (Often on revolvers, but I digress)
The only logic is that there is none. It's like trying to contemplate nothingness... The brain can't comprehend what doesn't exist.
