valuate this old parker hale .270

I have owned an Axis. I own a Parker Hale. I rest my case. ;)

Ditto... I haven't found a Savage I liked yet, they shoot nice, but the fit and finish is disgusting, Magazines can be a pain to insert, remove, nothing is "cleaned up", etc... If Savage ever starts paing attention to making thier firearms user friendly, they might actually be worth $300.00!!!

I sold one for 350 w/ a cheep scope at Calgary gun show. I think I got top $$. They are good but old style & not the brand any younger ones are looking for. I'd say $300-400 or keep it to shoot.

I'll buy it! I collect them:) ever since my dad gave me his in 243 i've been hooked I remember that rifle ever since since I was old enough to go hunting with him please pm me if your still interested.

I've had my PH 270 for well over 20 yrs, love the gun. My next gun purchase will be on in 30 06.

I own a bunch, but unless you're into old style Mausers they just aren't that popular. Particularly in 270 (unless you're a Conners fan). Hence the prices. Were I a young hunter looking for a "lifetime" gun, it would get the nod though. Stock is easy to change, you can find them in DBM occasionally, they are generally accurate, and they really are a good, solid rifle. Doesn't change the market though, sadly. - dan
